Project Objective:
During my Summer 2025 internship at ZMM Architects and Engineers in Charleston, WV, myself and the other design and engineering interns were tasked to design a multi-tenant building that housed a bakery, a marketing & media firm, and an architecture and engineering firm. During this project, I was tasked with designing the furniture that would be located both inside and outside of the building.
Myself and the other design team members came up with the idea to include shade structures and swings to the outside of the building to give a dynamic look while also being practical. The building sits on the Kanawha River so I tied that inspiration into the overall shape of the structure to reflect the flow and current of the river itself.
